INTRODUCTION TO APPENDIX A

The appendices A 1 through A 25 provide a listing of all
uses of "faith" which we found. Each is 'embellished' to highlight the power of God and obedience of man concept (of faith) where the underlined phrase is the inserted value for the parenthetical ( ) quantity.

Brackets [ ] are used to provide added insight or understanding aids. Each entry is given a title or tag for ease of scanning for later location. Each is lettered as a further expedient for reference or location.

There is no question that there are many ways to consider these passages; these represent this compiler's version. Do not hesitate to be blessed as the Holy Spirit gives you insight to compile your own versions.

          APPENDIX   A-1

ST. MATTHEW

a)  Matthew 6:30 (consider . . . grass of field)
... shall he not much more (clothe) you, ye of little obedience to the powers of God manifested to you (faith)?

b)  Matthew 8:10 (Jesus and centurion)
Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great obedience to the power of God manifested to anyone (faith), no, not in Israel.

    Matthew 8:26 Why are ye fearful, O ye of little obedience to the power of God manifested to you (faith)?

c) Matthew 9:2 (man sick of palsy) ... Jesus, seeing their obedience to the power of God manifested to them (faith), said unto the sick of the palsy...

   Matthew 9:22 ... He said, Daughter, be of good comfort, thy obedience to the power of God manifested to you (faith) bath made thee well.

f) Matthew 16:8 (the leaders of the Pharisees and Sadducees)

 ...when Jesus perceived, he said unto them, O ye of little obedience to the power of God manifested to you (faith) why reason ye among yourselves, because ye have brought no bread?

g) Matthew 17:17 (disciples could not heal)

   ... then Jesus answered and said, O you that are disobedient to the power of God manifested to you (faithless) and per verse generation, how long shall I bear with you?...

h) Matthew 17:20 (as a grain of mustard seed)
... and Jesus said unto them, because of your unbelief; for verily I say unto you, if ye have obedience to the power of God manifested to you (faith) as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, move from here to yonder place; and it shall move; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.

i) Matthew 21:21 (fig tree.. move mountains)
... Jesus answered and said unto them, verily I say unto you, if ye have obedience to the power of God manifested to you (faith) and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also, if ye shall say unto this mountain, be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea, it shall be done.

Who then is he that is obedient to the power of God manifested to you (faithful) and wise servant, whom his Lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them food in due season?

a) Mark 2:5 (sick of palsy lowered through roof)
When Jesus saw their obedience to the power of God manifested to them (faith), He said unto the sick of the palsy, "Son, thy sins are forgiven thee".

   ...and He said unto them,"why are ye fearful? How is that ye have no confidence in or obedience to the power of God manifested to you (faith)?

c) Mark 5:34 (woman healed of bloody plague)
...and He said unto her, Daughter, thy obedience to the power of God manifested to thee (faith) hath made thee well. Go in peace, and be well of thy plague.

d) Mark 9:19 (disciples unable to heal)
He answereth him, and said, O You without obedience to the power of God manifested to you (faithless) generation, how long shall I be with you?...

e) Mark 10:52 (blind man)

a) Luke 5:20 (man let down through roof)

c) Luke 7:50 (woman anointed Jesus)

No Faith or Faithful

NOTE: Appendix B deals with the "expanded forms" of faith in the book of St. John, seeking to highlight John's direct statements related to God's leading and man's obedience (or not) which might well have been expressed as "faith":, etc.

a) Acts 3:16 (Peter silver and gold have I none in the
name of Jesus Christ rise walk)
...and His name, through the power of God manifested to the lame man (faith) in His name, hath made this man strong, whom ye see and know, yea, the confidence in/obedience to God's power (faith) which is by him hath given him this
perfect soundness in the presence of you all.

b) Acts 6:5 (seven deacons selected)
...and they chose Stephen, a man full of confidence in the power of God manifested to him (faith) and of the Holy Spirit.

c) Acts 6:7 (the word of God increased)
...and a great company of the priests were obedient to the power of God manifested to them (faith).

d) Acts 6:8 (Stephen)
... and Stephen, full of confidence In/obedience to the power of God manifested to him (faith), did great wonders and miracles among the people.

e) Acts 14:9 (Paul and impotent man)
