Dear Outreacher:

“and  the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also” (2Ti 2:2)

 ·         Our leaders are all from this solid witness – committed to reaching and teaching others to carry on the spread of the precious Gospel of light and life via the Cassette Discipleship Program (CDP). Most were the direct recipients of their training from our Africa Coordinators, Timon and Mama over a 25 year period – the others are “next” generation, “taught” by these.

 ·          A wonderful and solid process – with accountability maintained to assure future integrity of CDP.

 ·          With  each country’s’ leadership being fully autonomous, we have God’s selected leaders moving at His cadence in  His program to reach out to the villagers of the World. Yes, that is CDP!

 ·          Is it working? You bet! – the leaders have completed their demographic study to determine the optimum need for CDP Outposts, have determined the best language to start with, have completed the translation of the WEBSITE: me-intl.org Cassette Scripts, and many have finished the Master Recording of their new language scripts. YES, they are ready for equipment!

 ·          Master Recording needs are – 270 languages at $300.00 per language.

Cassette Player and Bicycle -- 1,000 Village Evangelists (VEs) at $200.00 each.

 ·          This is needed NOW (July 2005). – Next January – the new need will be for three (3) times this amount of funding and continuing at this growth rate every 6-months until all their Villagers are being reached with the Gospel!

 ·          This growth rate of 3-to-1 new VEs every 6-months has been proven by our CDP-Ghana group, readily accomplished via on-the-job training of new three candidate VEs by all operational VEs.  Yes, every six months there are three new VEs for each operating VE – for a total growth of 4-to-1 when maintaining the former VEs in ministry also.

 ·          Remember that the WEBSITE: me-intl.org can be accessed by all CDP-Country leaders independently and in parallel – yes, hundreds/thousands can get the information needed at the same time – providing general directions as well as some specific management helps as needed/desired.

Reaching Muslim Women – by women

Via e-mail from Mama Challenge – one of our CDP-Africa Coordinators:

Why all of us should take up the challenge of ministering to Muslims.

1.        We can’t leave the job to men alone, because they often don’t see the need of reaching to women in their families. Excuse of disrespect like: She is a woman, she wouldn’t understand. Show their thinking, whereby they fall into the trap of an African proverb that said: A woman has no religion.

2.        The gospel does not always follow the male bridges to get to the woman in her families and household.

3.        A Muslim woman‘s understanding of her religious role of being a good Muslim is to be a good wife, daughter or sister. While a man’s religion ties him directly to God (being in submission to God). A woman’s religiosity ties her directly to the men in her life, She is in submission to her father, husband, brother, cousin uncle. Mohamed promised paradise to those women who obey their husbands.

This brings me to this story:

During our evangelism, I had the great privilege of meeting Fanta, a Muslim respected woman in our town. Poor, mother of 7, non-educated., third wife of a Muslim. I have been witnessing to her and we had a lot of time discussing the condition of Muslim women. She is now what I call a secret disciple. I take the bible on a cassette with the book of John in Fulfude (local language spoken by almost all in the North of Cameroon and Nigeria). Our visits must be in the week she will not receive her husband and she will listen as many times as she wishes.

Last time she called me: Sister (this was the first time she uses this name) saying, I want to let you know that I fully believe in JESUS CHRIST. But I am fully convinced I will die of HIV/AIDS.  I am just waiting for the sign to come out one day and then I will go and be with Jesus Christ.

When I ask her why? Her reply brought a shock: My husband has three wives but is still going out with many women. The Bible condemns adultery and fornication.  If  I were able to care for my children I would have stop receiving my husband.

There are many “Fantas” I meet, but we cannot help them avoid HIV/AIDS and they will end up in the grave.

I am so happy you give me an opportunity of working with you. I just wanted you to know how many lives, you are touching by working through us.

Pastor Prince Paul Konu of Ghana, Africa reports:

Via e-mail and attached pictures:

            Dear Brothers and Sisters:

The above pictures from recent trips  made with some university students from East Texas Baptist University and a medical doctor from Texas, who visited our village community to give medical treatment to some village people.
We also had the opportunity to evangelize.--  as a result of this trip 2000 plus made professions of faith in Christ and 1600 patients were seen by the doctor. Also, five new churches were planted at various communities.

Picture 1:  Shows children of a village school established by our ministry.

Picture 2:  Leaders of churches from various communities came together for leadership training.

Picture 3: The village people waiting to receive medical treatment.

Picture 4: The team sitting in the ministry Van. They are eight in number.

Picture 5: Pastor Prince Paul Konu sharing the vision of CDP with the leaders.

Pray for Pastor Paul he is a most effective self-starter and is very important as a mentor to other CDP-Countries. Remember, they in Ghana initiated the growth schedule that we all use in CDP – the on-the-job training of VEs over a 6-month period.  Indeed, they have used and proven this technique – found it most effective. They systematically grew to 240 new VEs. Now have 320 VEs trained, 80 being equipped,

Proactive Leaders:  Another sign that our Leaders are proactive and “self-starters” – dedicated to the CDP concept:

In Africa, to help all to facilitate CDP, they have put together a conference wherein all the leaders have been invited

to travel to Cameroon for a three day conference of CDP leaders.

They have been very enterprising in getting local help to fund the ‘hosting’ tasks for the attendees while at the conference.

They had more than 50% expected attendance before they told us about the conference. It will stress the purpose and promise of CDP along with leadership encouragement and training.

Gospel Recordings (Global Recordings) and M/E

WE are excited with the possibilities of some wonderful cooperation that is developing between GR and M/E in the areas of:

·        Translations we are doing in China and many other areas of the World

·        The potential of our Village Evangelists (VEs) having GR tapes in many languages

·        Along with  our Cassette Messages, and

·        Being able to obtain GR’s hand cranked cassette players at a much reduced cost

Pray with us as this great cooperative spirit continues for His GLORY and increased outreach to the villagers of the World.
