Dear Outreacher:
We are sure that you have noticed – we are
approaching a new year – 2008AD – yes, another year has almost completed
it’s coarse -- , another year closer to our Lord’s return for us in the
air! WOW, what a day that will be!
But, before that can happen all the NATIONS
must be reached with the Gospel (see Matthew 24:14) – yes, then the
“Rapture”, so called.
We at M/E Intl desire to finish the coarse
strong – to reach all the villagers of the developing countries by the
end of 2010AD as is now planned – even as all the leadership in our 185
countries are committed to do!.
Right now we have much to share with you –
but first I want to tell you a story which I have only heard this last
week, yet it has been the key to all that is on-going in Africa, China
and several other areas with the Cassette Discipleship Program (CDP).

From Cameroon to China – with Love
This story
started years ago in Africa, as Mama and Timon were actively pursuing
the training and discipling of hundreds of evangelists and pastors in
their institute. Timon is the teacher – while Mama is the evangelist and
outreach component of this fiery team!
In those days, and probably today as well,
Mama was very proactive in her witnessing – would standup in busses to
sing and preach to a very mixed audience – some very belligerent – she
was fearless and persevered in and through the taunts.
How does this fearless lady relate to
China? – Well, on one occasion a few years ago, our fearless one was in
an area near the Chinese Embassy in Cameroon and decided to Sing and
Preach. Her efforts were rewarded as a young Chinese man stopped to
listen, and soon accepted her challenge to come to Jesus. He also became
a student in their institute under the teaching of Timon.
Cutting to the chase, we find this young
man, a dedicated and committed Christian, soon to return to China. Guess
who is heading up the CDP work in China? You guessed it – God’s man
trained in Cameroon by our leaders for Africa! Wow! Pretty special,
right! You bet!
So, it is no wonder that Timon and Mama have a
great bond with him and the activity there in China.
Interestingly, many other countries also
have leaders in CDP which similarly have strong bonds with Timon and
Mama – that’s right, many of them were also trained in Cameroon. Of
course, we also get the next “generation” where these trained in
Cameroon are now locating and training others as well! This is how the
CDP ranks grew up to 185 countries from the early explosion to 110
countries that we had experienced late in 2003. This later growth is
epitomized by the secondary ‘explosion’ which we saw as the early
Brazilian entry grew from just South America’s 15 countries to 45 total,
including Mexico, Central America, Cuba, and many other nearby and
distant countries where known leadership resided.
I think you can see why we have always said
(at least since about January of 2004) that we had a network that was
very special – one you couldn’t duplicate for millions of dollars! Yes,
we have been blessed!
So, now, our task is greatly simplified, since both Africa and China are
well cared for – with leadership which is trained and available under
the watchful eye of Mama and Timon.
It probably bears repeating here, although
we mentioned it last month, that our recently departed friend,
Missionary Dominic Bertrand, had been instrumental in mentoring,
encouraging and even financing some of Timon and Mama’s activities. In
particular, he and they had trained CDP envoys that they sent to China,
Russia, Indonesia, and South America to assist in early and effective
start-up of the CDP activities there.
China grew very rapidly, from an early
count of 400+ Village Evangelists (VEs) early in 2005, to 1700+ by mid
2006, and 4900+ early in 2007. We are eagerly awaiting end of year 2007
reports!
You know, that even with little to no
equipment, these 4900 witnesses, at about 10% effectivity, have probably
seen over 1.5-Million precious souls come to the Lord this last year
(you know, their outreach is now to about 40-Million villagers – 10,000
per VE -- where normally about 40% can be expected to accept the Lord,
but operating without any equipment they are probably only able to be
about 10% effective, for 1.6-Million).
This points up the really drastic need for
audio players and bicycles – players to help effectively reach out to
those about them, and bicycles to facilitate regularly covering their
10,000 villagers. With these tools, their harvest could even now
increase to of order 16-Million coming to the Lord. Remember, they are
all Volunteers – only need ‘equipment’!!!
Also, it is important to realize that the
VEs are ministering in and around their own village and to another nine
nearby villages (a total of about 10,000 villagers per VE). With the VEs
normally coordinated in Outposts of 20 VEs, the related supervisors are
available to train and generally oversee the VE activities. This also
provides for good reporting to and from the country leaders.
This is how the CDP works – reaching the
forgotten and ignored – Empowering national leaders and Enabling the VEs
with equipment as we receive the needed funding.
700 AMBASSADOR Units

We are still rejoicing as we await the
completion of the 700 AMBASSADOR Units being prepared, for delivery
(hopefully) by MegaVoice (MV), in Israel, before the first of the New
Year! This involves getting 62 language messages downloaded from Global
Recordings (GR) to MV (most of this has been accomplished as of this
writing) – who will digitize and process the messages for access on the
AMBASSADOR Units appropriately.
Actually, this is a first step operation
awaiting availability of our own CDP messages via the
Recording/Processing set that our Audio Engineer, Troy Majeska,
VP-Audio, is finalizing. This early capability has been made
possible by GR Graciously partnering with us, making their 5,600
language audio library available to us via MV. Yes, both GR and MV
represent key ”players” with us to help us activate the vast network of
CDP leaders and VEs with whom the Lord has blessed us to reach out to
the Nations.
Characterizing Ghana, Africa’s
operation
While Pastor Prince Paul Konu was with us
this last month of October, we were able to characterize his operation
to help us better understand the mechanism and support needed to allow
the operation to flow correctly. With this, we were able to provide
desired insight to the management and reporting of the VEs within the
Outpost structure with which we are comfortable, and to delineate
several levels of potential reporting methods.
Previously, Pastor Konu has personally
traveled to all the 16 Outposts each month – his taking two full weeks
out of his busy schedule. With our characterization and support needs
defined, we have defined and initiated a first order improvement for his
needed reports from the field --- this by providing Motor-Scooters for
four courier Supervisors who once a month go to the field Outposts to
verify operations and obtain their reports for CDP-Ghana headquarters.
Actually, we provided Pastor Paul funds for two Motor-Scooters and have
since received a third – so there is still needed $500.00 for one more
Power-Scooter. We PTL for this improved situation for Pastor Paul, and
pray that this will indeed be at least an interim measure to meet the
needed communications with the field personnel.
Probably, a more lasting solution will be to provide cell phones for
each Media-Center Supervisor who will report for four Outposts. Cell
phones are starting to be available throughout Ghana, so for a startup
fee of about $800.00 and a monthly fee of about $200.00, for the four
cell phones, this may prove most effective. As their operation there
continues, we can expect these situations and appropriate solutions to
become ever clearer. Keep in mind too: Ghana also has two more similar
areas to be covered very soon. So, the need here will be for eight more
Power-Scooters and Cell Phones (another $4,800.00 up front and another
$400.00 per month).
The results have been phenomenal from CDP-Ghana – Pastor Paul states
that conservatively each VE is leading at least 20 Villagers to the Lord
each week – this totaling to 320,000 per year per language group. Now
one language group (the EWE), soon another in the North (The FraFra
language, using Bibles to preach from) and as soon as equipment is
available for the TWI language group, the Ghana total will soon go to
almost a million per year. Their total outreach is towards 20-Million
Villagers.
We are ASKING
God has told
us in HIS WORD, to: “ask and you shall receive” and “seek and you shall
find” -- SOOOO, we are asking and can expect to receive.
We are asking for funds for our World-Wide
VE network – not for salaries, because they and we are all VOLUNTEERS –
but for Audio Players and Bicycles – yes, to be equipped for ministry.
You see, with the Players and Bicycles, our
VEs (who are seldom literate) can very effectively reach out to their
10,000 Villagers, both via the dynamic audio player as well as the
ability to cover their area with the bicycle.
Can you imagine (I can!) when we will have
full coverage for all 300,000 VEs that we anticipate having before the
end of year 2010? I think you can see that there is a need for some
serious funding! – PRAY – ask with us – for His provision to this His
program. He started it, He has led partners to us, His network of
Nationals and VEs has been established, they and we are “waiting on Him”
---------------
What about YOU?
We have talked about the CDP, the Network, people led to serve in Ghana,
China and other places. We have mentioned some needs – and, we assume
our Father-God will use you and others to help meet these needs.
Actually, we know that you are concerned – you care and have shared –
but, we feel that some of you may also have other important contacts
with individuals, Sunday Schools, Churches, Foundations, Media
Activities, etc., etc., etc.

PLEASE PASS IT ON – TELL ALL ABOUT THE CDP – ITS NETWORK OF
VOLUNTEERS – THEIR TREMENDOUS OUTREACH – THEIR CAPABILITIES AND THEIR
CHALLENGES – INDEED, THEIR NEED FOR EQUIPMENT! PLEASE INTRODUCE US TO
YOUR CONTACTS. WE WILL BE CAREFUL AND HONEST – ALWAYS GLORIFYING OUR
RISEN SAVIOR. LET’S DO IT TOGETHER!
Pray – Talk it
over with your Heavenly Father!
It is all about HIM – by
HIM -- and for
HIM. – say what?
What is IT? -- The CDP concept and operation of course! For He gave us
the concept back in 1984, He led us to Dr. Jebasingh in India to
develop it to its present state of maturity. Then, in 2001, Ghana and
Pastor Konu arrived on the scene, and, with Cameroon at the end of
2003 we saw the rush start, bringing us now arguably to 185 countries.
India, Africa, and China certainly represent the biggest challenges: –
Yes, are the neediest continental groups. They have the task to work all
their districts, countries, or regions respectively at the same time if
they are to finish well!
Yes,
PRAY – take all our leaders and VEs to His Throne of Grace –
seeking – asking – for souls to be added to His Book of the Redeemed! We
rest our case IN HIM!!
For indeed, it
is all about HIM – by HIM -- and for HIM. PTL!!!

What We Believe
1. We believe the Bible to be the inspired and only infallible
Word of God. 2. We believe that there is one God, eternally
existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. 3. We
believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in
his sinless life, in His miracles, in his vicarious and atoning death
through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to
the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and
glory. 4. We believe that for the salvation of lost sinful man,
regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential. 5. We
believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling
the Christian is enabled to live a Godly life. 6. We believe in
the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved
unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the
resurrection of damnation. 7. We believe
in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ. 8. We
believe that the church comprises all true believers and
that the mission of the church, with Christ as its head, is to
communicate the Gospel of Christ to all the world.
