Dear Outreacher:

            October has been a busy month – looking forward to our Annual Report Dinner on the 29th, Pastor Prince Paul Konu arriving from Ghana, Africa and all this leading to presentations at the U S Center for World Mission (USCWM) in Pasadena and at the Offices of Global Recordings in Temecula, as well as good quality time with Pastor Paul in planning and characterizing his formidable operations in Ghana for easy reference to our other countries.

             Dr. Andre and Mrs. Mathilde Talla are real backbones of the CDP effort both in Africa and in many other Continents of the World since late in 2003. They, together with our recently departed friend, Missionary Dominic Bertrand, have also sent CDP missionary envoys to: China, Russia, Indonesia and Brazil. This has been effective to encourage their former Institute students and friends in their commitment to the CDP process.

             Andre also is currently working on a doctoral program at the William Carey International University, majoring in Intercultural Studies -- preparing him for improved intercultural and insight skills for the future of the CDP program in Africa and other areas of the World. Pray for both he and Mathilde as they are separated for these times.

                             You know, CDP-Ghana has a lead of from two to four years over our other nations, they starting in early 2001 AD. Although we can’t expect all to use the same operational formula in every nation, even though proven very effective in Ghana; but, we do want all to have this success story available for their use if desired.

             Notably, CDP-Ghana is now ministering through 320 Village Evangelists (VEs) plus another 320 ready for equipment, and yet another 400 which will be placed in ministry when Pastor Paul gets back to Ghana. He will purchase the 400 Bibles needed for that group of 16 Outposts of 25 VEs in each Outpost.. This group of VEs is literate in their language and able to use the Bible to reach their villagers -- later, players and bikes will make them also much more effective.

             Pastor Paul has provided several vital and challenging stories that we will share below. In particular he is concerned about one of his/our VEs that has a bad heart valve. His prognosis is very poor if he doesn’t have the operation soon! The operation is generally $10,000.00 there in Ghana at the Cardiac Specialty area – although the government will probably cover half of the expense. Our VEs name is Samuel – please pray for him and his special need! Here is Samuel’s picture.

              Remember to pray for Samuel – he has been a very active fellow and is a well trained VE. He is at present not able to be as effective as he would like and of course his life is very tenuous at best in his present state of health. Here is an evangelist that is effective in reaching out to many souls!

               If you are led to help him meet the $5,000.00 operation fee we are sure both you and he will be blessed.  Yes, those that care and share are always uniquely blessed.

            Pastor Paul reports many coming to our Lord, -- baptisms and 25 churches planted in key villages. These now have attendees numbering in the hundreds each Lord’s Day. Here is yet another source of Gospel Outreach as they care and share with family, neighbors and friends. The VEs are all going into the forgotten and ignored peoples of Ghana – where there are: no paved streets, no churches, no wire telephones (some cell phones developing), electricity is scarce, the people are generally not literate and image worshipers abound, etc. When they hear of the true and living God and the Good News of the Gospel, they are very attentive and about 40% generally come early to the Lord for His Salvation, joy and peace..

              One man in particular, a ‘tough’ Witch Doctor, came to the Lord a few years ago and is now a very wise and effective VE supervisor. PTL how HE reaches hearts in His time for His work and Glory, Below is a picture of this former Witch Doctor!

         A synergism of the Gospel in Ghana: a few of the CDP churches are caring for 56 orphans. They use an available village church building. This began in 2005 and continues today, providing food and lodging as well as teaching for children in the 5 to 12 year age group. This is something that developed from need and caring and sharing of the churches there. Below is a picture of these precious children!

            In the meeting at the USCWM we presented our new PwrPt and both Pastor Paul and Dr. Andre Talla spoke briefly. They did a good job emphasizing how CDP is characterized in their areas. In general we find good attention to our presentations, although most in attendance do not have much if any prior knowledge of the Cassette Discipleship Program (CDP). They may find it quite out of their normal “box” of information as to how missionary efforts are normally carried out. The CDP is definitely a different ‘beast’ – not the normal missiologists approach! We don’t apologize for that, rather we Glory in what the Lord is doing in and through the CDP network to the Nations.

             The need for AMBASSADOR Units  continues – as does the need fur bikes – right now we could place over 15,000 of each, into direct outreach activities of our VEs, World-wide.
