The Cassette Discipleship Program (CDP)

“God’s Network to the Nations”

·       Villagers trained as Village Evangelists (VEs) to reach villagers.

·       Most not literate – use Audio Players – structured dialog messages.

·       Each VE reaches out to 10,000 villagers – in his and 9 other villages.

·       Typically, each VE leads over 1,000 villagers to the Lord per year!

·       All are VOLUNTEERS – leaders and VEs – M/E International also.

·       VE works day job and ministers in the evenings – trains from player.

·       Player– AMBASSADOR Unit – 15-hours use on 8-hour charge.

·       Now, over 15,000 VEs in 185 countries – over 1,000 languages.

·       In 2007 AD arguably over 15-Million came to the Lord!

·       The big target – over a BILLION to the Lord by end of 2010 AD!

The Target ‘Area’:   

            Existing mission activities are basically reaching out to the developing countries cities and near-zone villagers – the 3^rd World peoples.  These are the ‘upper half’ of the World’s peoples.

            CDP is going to the villagers of the developing counties – the 4^th World peoples – actually over half of the World’s population. These are the ignored and forgotten – can only be reached by their own.

            Generally no churches – VEs early establish home fellowships. The villagers readily come to Christ having never before heard of the Creator God that loves them!

            There is little or no electricity, phones are scarce although cell phone use is increasing rapidly, Internet capability very limited.

CDP-INDIA

          CDP was first conceived and developed in India (circa 1985 AD). It matured there for about 18 years in the southern states of India. It is gradually expanding north, developing new outposts to allow intra-state growth. Then they plan to ‘blanket’ all of the states with Village Evangelists. The need is to reach out to all 800-Million villagers within this decade – projecting a total need of 80,000 VEs soon!

CDP-GHANA  

                           Pastor Prince Paul Konu   - Coordinator

  CDP Ghana started the result of an e-mail letter early in 2001 from Pastor Konu.  He had seen the WEBSITE and wanted to get involved!  They did their ‘homework’ for about 6-8 Months – then established a first Outpost of 20 VEs in the EWE language.  Within about 2-1/2 years they had grown to 320 VEs reaching out to about 3.2 Million villagers. Saw 300,000 come to Jesus in 2007. Now have over 1,000 VEs ministering.

CDP-LIBERIA      -

There are over 200 VEs ministering at present – having started there in 2002.

Hundreds are brought to the Lord each year and many home fellowships are established to assure local growth and stability for the future.

Here too, most VEs still need players and bikes!

CDP-NIGERIA -

          The CDP activity started here in 2002 and has progressed very well – reaching out to  over 80-MILLION villagers – with almost 700 VEs who are leading thousands to the Lord each month. Most still need players and bikes.

As their number of VEs continues to multiply each year, please remember to pray for their needs and for their three candidate VEs that are trained each year with each ministering VE.

CDP-KENYA  -

        This CDP activity started in 2002 with the challenge to reach out to about 20-MILION villagers. Now, with about 200 VEs ministering, and growth set for 4-to-1 per growth period, they are seeing many hundreds of villagers coming to the Lord each year!

          Truly the harvest is ready, and the VEs are multiplying to the task.  Yes, most also need players and bikes!  Lets equip the harvesters.

CDP-AFRICA, CHINA, S. AMERICA, INDONESIA, RUSSIA AND EUROPE:

These areas of activity are being coordinated via Cameroon, Africa leadership.

 The related continental/country leaders were all trained in the Cameroon Institute and maintain a close mentoring role in their commitment to the CDP process for their own areas of the World.

Organize and manage the CDP process World-wide.  It would seem that the Lord gave us this very effective tool just in time! – To meet the End-Time head on, so to speak!

 We can say this because almost every function of the CDP is described and implemented via this tremendous plenum of information.  Since it is available to all Internet users, it is a very universal

Tool – available to all!  But, to those involved in CDP it is the basic reference point for all related information – basically, the heart of CDP – right from the Heart of God!. It provides:

 ·        The History and related information about M/E International and its predecessor Missionary Electronics, Inc. (ME started, back in 1948 by: Howard Pettman)

·        The thrilling “Vision” for CDP was given to us as we flew over India in 1984.

·        The shared vision and ready acceptance by India leadership – “basic, powerful”.

·        CDP started in India in 1985, M/E Intl partnering with GIFTS of India.

·        Quickly expanded from one to 175 Village Evangelists by the year 1990.

·        CDP continued to mature in India and spread to key country Pastors and Evangelists.
