Dear Outreacher: 

Greetings as we reflect on the speedy passing of 2008; – and, you do realize that we have seen 2/3^rd of the year 2008 already disappear over the “horizon” .   Wow!!  This means we have only 4-1/3^rd growth periods left to complete our CDP target for outreach equipment for about 298,000 VEs!!!

            In the meantime, plan to join us at the Sizzler Restaurant at 6:30 PM on Sept. 29^th 2008 for our Annual Report Dinner – where we will be featuring Pastor Prince Paul Konu of Ghana, Africa – he will be sharing the dynamics of their CDP activities. They now have over 1,000 VEs ministering in three languages of Ghana.

Please return the enclosed Report-Dinner Reply card – giving us the related information and number of attendees you plan to bring with you. The dinner is hosted and you will be blessed as you are a part of the dynamics that is the Cassette Discipleship Program (CDP). Yes, you can be a vital part of this vision to the ignored and forgotten “half of the World’s population”! Come, participate – be challenged.  For sure, YOU will be blessed!!!

Yes, as we have oft said, we are WAITING on our Father-God for His Partners to fund these very needful equipment costs for about 300,000 VEs.  We believe this needs about $75-MILLION – which we know is IMPOSSIBLE for us to acquire – BUT GOD – if this is truly His program (and we are sure it is) HE WILL SUPPLY – His amount in His time!!!

In the meantime, we have seen our friends in Australia raise another $18,000 for about 400 added AMBASSADOR Units that are scheduled for delivery as you read this missive. Units are going to Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana and Liberia. PTL this will allow another 4-MILLION precious villagers to be reached more effectively!                

·         Pastor Prince Paul Konu will be coming to be with us for our Annual Report Dinner – he is first making a visit to most of the VEs in Ghana, over the period of August 25 thru 30, so he will be able to bring us the latest news from many of the VEs, supervisors and church planters, including their testimonies.

·         It is exciting to see the ongoing dynamic of the Ghana outreach – and the effectiveness in reaching new converts and planting of new churches!  PTL indeed.

·         Pastor Paul let us know that he has enough travel miles accumulated so that it should take care of his round trip air travel. That is a special blessing for us all to thank the Lord for!

·         Ghana will soon receive another batch of the AMBASSADOR Units which is so very powerful and a significant part of the effectiveness experienced there in Ghana.

·         We should point out that they still need about 250 AUs as well as almost a thousand bicycles. Note that for maximum effectiveness, the VEs need both the player and the bike. The players bridge the literacy gap while the bikes bridge the distance gap. Keep in mind that each VE has about 10,000 villagers in 10 villages that he is responsible for.

·         Let’s all remember to take Pastor Paul and all their CDP team to the Lord daily!!!

·         They thank us all for the former AMBASSADOR Units (AUs) that were received which have been so effective – -, and now they say “thank you all in Jesus name” for the new group that they expect early in September.

·         Evangelist Paul Mba in Nigeria reports that they now have a real “open door” in some of the heavily Muslim controlled areas of northern Nigeria. – Especially in the Kano and Zamfara States.

·         Evan. Paul Mba says: “I went there with the AUs in HAUSA language, and the Lord continues to do great things there, so please thank God with us, for answering our prayer, for this has been our heart cry”.

·         In fact, we just received a call to go there again and also to send more AUs. I could have gone last week, but lack of funds and having only a few AUs for them. It will be GREAT to get the new batch of Units!

·         It takes 3-days to travel from the Calabar, which is south from Kano or Zamfara States which are both in the far North. It costs about $200.00 per person plus expenses for accommodation, feeding and other logistics. (NOTE: These expenses are difficult to impossible for them to handle – we try to help, but generally do not have sufficient funds for all of this type of programmatic overhead expenses at this time.  JRF)

·         Evan. Paul says that: For the $400.00 we received recently from you, $200.00 went to help two Villages secure places of worship and the other $200.00 was needed to help with Hospital bills for one of or pioneer VEs in Obubra of the Mbembe language. It is sad to tell you that this VE later died and the burial was to be the weekend of August 8^th, but for lack of funds was shifted to the following weekend.

·         You asked about Cell Phones and Internet here. Cell phones range from $100.00 and up, where the provider’s use prepay service here. The Internet is generally a Dialup system which requires a $250.00 Modem and $45.00 monthly payment. (NOTE: Here are other program overhead services that we would like to be able to help them with! – these are more effective ways to manage and obtain reports.  JRF).

·         Finally brethren, we really need your added programmatic overhead support if these great ministries are to advance as they should.  (NOTE: Remember – they and we are all VOLUNTEERS where we have committed ourselves to ENABLE their equipment and programmatic overhead needs AS THE LORD PROVIDES.   JRF).

·         PRAY THAT WE WILL BE ABLE TO SOON MEET ALL THESE NEEDS FOR ALL OUR COUNTRY CDP EFFORTS!!! This is all a part of our desired budget of $250.00 (once only) for each VE. Yes – PRAY!!!  Indeed – only our Father-God can meet this incredible need!!! JRF.

·         Evan. J. Aaron Wright is excited with the way the AMBASSADOR Units have met real needs and is very encouraged with the results that seem to just flow from them. They have allowed the Gospel to be broadcast ever wider in all of Liberia.

·        Brother Aaron suggested that we restart our prayer times on a weekly basis –And, that was a very good idea, but we felt that really we needed regular daily time at His Throne of Grace. – So, we have suggested that we all pray at our 6:00 PM time for just a minute or two every day – which should keep the CDP process to our Father-God almost every hour 24/7.  Yes, let’s all PRAY!!!

·        Typically, our young Brother Aaron has expressed a concern for one of their neighboring countries – Sierra Leone, desiring to help as needed to get CDP started and active there! We trust that this will become a firm capability in the near future – pray for the needed/dedicated leadership in Sierra Leone.

·        Brother Aaron indicated that he is most grateful to God for all of us and the way God has provided through so many of us. 

·        He especially noted that the added AMBASSADOR Units expected soon will allow them to reach out to yet another 400,000 villagers in a remote area of Liberia. PTL Indeed!

·        Pray that our dear Brother Aaron will be able to finalize their progress as well as serve effectively to help Sierra Leone to get a healthy start in CDP.

·        China has special problems associated largely with the country political challenges.

Interfering with much of the Internet services into and out of that great land.

 It is especially tight right now with the Olympic activities ongoing.

·           We have been unable to communicate with them for over a month. Pray that this service will soon be restored!  We were unable to communicate to allow another batch of AMBASSADOR Units to be delivered to them! – Units which they need very badly!

·           Their HIV/AIDS activities are a significant element of their ongoing holistic mission to the needy out in the remote regions of China.

·            Yes, PRAY that good communications might be available in the future to assure that the ongoing activities might not be impeded in any way!!

We have had the privilege of following our Father-God’s lead since back in 1984 when He showed us the CDP process – we have been both amazed and delighted as we have seen miracle after miracle take place – we have been blessed as we have seen great results in the form of precious souls by the thousands, even millions coming to our Lord!

So, -- why would we even think of shrinking from the task ahead; indeed, He has told us to be bold – to wait on Him – trust Him.

For it is for Him and about Him – He will bring it to pass!!!

Therefore, we are even more encouraged to move ahead in the Power of His Might; – Indeed, He will bring it to pass!!
