January 2009

Dear Outreacher:

Greetings to you -- for a Great New Year 2009 AD! --- Trusting that we will all have a very prosperous soul saving year to HIS GLORY.

Remember to join us (World-wide) in earnest Prayer at 6:00 PM every day – helping us to blanket the World with Prayer from caring hearts that desire to see the CDP process grow and be fully equipped for maximum affectivity.  Yes, to reach the NATIONS.

Note: Without equipment they are only moderately effective; with a player they increase by eight times, while adding a bike their affectivity goes up another 12 times.

Truly, there is nothing else in this World or life that can beat these blessings!  Yet, although the blessings are tremendous, yet, nothing in comparison to that day when at Jesus feet we see the multitudes that came to Jesus via the Gospel presented to them by the Cassette Discipleship Program (CDP) Village Evangelists   (VEs).

Truly – it will be worth it all, when we see Jesus!!!

It is interesting,  with the World-wide CDP-Network established early in 2004 AD (after maturing in CDP-India for about 16 years -- and extending  into CDP-Ghana, CDP-Liberia, CDP-Nigeria and CDP-Kenya)., and then, exploded into the rest of the World via another 180 or so  countries and about 1,000 languages translated from our English scripts on WEBSITE: me-intl.org.   This growth was largely based upon including Evangelists and Pastors which CDP-Cameroon had trained in their Institute over the previous years.

From 2004 AD to early 2008 AD the growth was both amazing and quite predictable, where each of the new 180 counties was autonomous and growing, -- each country reportedly starting with an Outpost of 20 VEs and maturing rapidly to several Outposts while completing their translation work with several languages.

Early in 2008 AD, the CDP Network was straining, largely due to the lack of equipment which we had promised them as the Lord provided us the funds!

To augment this problem, CDP-Cameroon now coordinates all those leaders and VEs that they had brought to CDP from their past Institute activities.

So, at this time, we continue to coordinate CDP-India, CDP-Ghana, CDP-Liberia, CDP-Nigeria and CDP-Kenya, with CDP-China “on the fence” depending upon our ability to reestablish contact with them after the “Olympic” blackout that we have recently experienced. Probably CDP-China will end up being coordinated by CDP-Cameroon since ‘none-USA’ contacts will most likely have a better chance to communicate with them.

CDP-India is a large, unique and very special case, now needing something over eight (8) outposts in the Northerly area. Their equipment and programmatic costs will be about $40,000. India will ultimately need of order 80,000 VEs to reach out to all their 800-million villagers.

China is also a special case – now having over 7,000 VEs ministering to about 70-Million Villagers. The needed equipment and Programmatic Overhead funding is almost $1.75-Million. The ultimate need is to reach the full 700-million Villagers in the next few years.

In general, we are very pleased with the dedicated leadership and committed VEs that the Lord is allowing us to work with in their outreach to the lost of their countries. Actually, collectively, other than India and China, our groups (Ghana, Liberia, Nigeria and Kenya) now have just over 2,000 VEs ministering that are reaching out to about 20-Million villagers, -- where their ultimate outreach need is to about 200-Million villagers over the next few years. It is obvious that their effectiveness is predicated upon the level of equipment and programmatic support that they are provided.

It is our desire to provide them with audio players and bikes as soon as possible. – This next year they should have 2,000 players and bikes. – These and related Programmatic Overhead will cost right at $500,000 for best effectivity. India and China are not included here.

To date, we have relied upon minor personal contacts and major Internet-WEBSITE interactions to secure just a bare minimum of accountability. We desire to make major improvement in accountability soon.  We are seeking several donors to partner with us – to take on this task – providing funding for several week long Verification Trips per year with one of our staff and  one person selected by the donor. Typically such trips will cost between $8,000 and $12,000 depending upon gasoline costs and other intangibles. Perhaps you would be led to provide and even go with our staff member on the next verification trip – probably to CDP-Nigeria!

Personally we have been quite happy because, by the time new leaders and their Steering Committee complete their required preparations, they have spent 8 to 12 months dedicated to demographic study, script translation, and VE selection, training and placement.  We find that they are by then very committed to the tasks ahead. They have also become trusted first-name friends to us along with mutual prayer partners.

Accountability is an ever present challenge, one which we take seriously, and to date we have depended upon personal trusted contacts, along with a related visit to CDP-Ghana’s Pastor Prince Paul Konu in late 2003 AD by our Dr. James Butare. He also became acquainted with CDP-Nigeria leader, Evangelist Paul O. Mba, CDP-Liberia leader, Evangelist J. Aaron Wright, and CDP-Cameroon directors on this trip.  The Ghana activities with their 80 VEs having Cassette Players and Bikes were reviewed and strong bonds between all parties resulted. It was there too that the CDP-Cameroon leaders, Mama and Timon Challenge became convinced that CDP was truly viable and shortly introduced about 110 new countrys’ leaders into the CDP process.

It would appear that we are still quite human and may well expect difficulties no matter how hard we try to achieve perfect accountability. However, we certainly will be as careful and discriminating as possible, especially when we select and nurture key leaders in new countries.

Dear Brothers: and Sisters:  (From Ghana, Africa)

Just arrived Home this noon from the mission field, Had a great time with the key leadership and the VEs.

Had three separate meetings:

            (1) I met (in the far North of Ghana) with the FRAFRA language group’s 20 key leaders. They report
willingness of new candidate VEs ready to minister -- but
they really need Bibles and bikes. (about 1,200 candidate VEs need Bibles and bikes soon).

Bikes are the only means of transport among this group. They report
another 710 profession of faith and 230 baptisms this last month. They have had 400 VEs ministering using Bibles and are getting set to expand to 1,200 VEs soon.

            (2) The TWI language group (in the Eastern corridor of Ghana) recorded 654 profession of faith and 131 baptisms this last month. They also have organized 3 new churches. I shared with 15 key leaders in this language group. They noted that several motor bikes would enable them to reach the most remote villagers.

            (3) I ended my trip with the EWE language group. They  are
truly on fire for the Lord. They recorded 900 professions of faith and 200 baptisms. The bikes have really
increased their outreach and related conversions of all the VEs.

Thanks for everything – Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year 2009,

                                    Pastor Prince Paul Konu

Greetings from CDP-Kenya (Evangelist Joel Atuti)

Dear Brothers and Sisters:

In spite of all our challenges, sometimes very discouraging, yet, I want to report that the AMBASSADOR Units provided are truly doing wonders We tend to get discouraged when we don’t have the needed equipment, but then we see the souls coming to the Lord and we are glad!  It is worth it all!.

With the AMBASSADOR Units, we just saw 41 new converts accept the Lord’s invitation for His life and light for all eternity! – The response was quick and the discipleship continues and will be sustained.

The Village Evangelists (VEs) are doing a very good job, I hope to have a small party with them to encourage and let them know they are appreciated and doing a really good job!  Actually, the results that they see, as villagers come to the Lord, is very exciting and rewarding for them!

Communications is often very difficult since I have to walk up to four hours sometimes to get to a means of communication.  I have just been given a few minutes on this computer from a friend.

Thanks to all our friends and supporters, -- it is great to have such dedicated partners with us in these important and exciting  activities.

                                                    Joel Atuti

Greetings.  (From Liberia)  Evan. J. Aaron Wright

Hello Brothers and Sisters in Christ:

May God continue to keep you and the entire Board of M/E International Inc. alive, well and strong!  You are very great encouragers to me and the entire team of VEs in Liberia.

As the Village Evangelists (VEs) now in Bong County are growing in winning more souls, there are still some challenges they face. The issue of transportation is impeding the smooth and speedy works of the VEs. In this light, we are kindly asking your assistance in acquiring some bicycles and AMBASSDOR Units for the VEs.

We will especially appreciate the bicycles -- since the road conditions are deplorable in some of our areas, they are inaccessible by car. The bicycles would allow the VEs to move effectively  from place to place , as was done for the people of Grand Bassa and Rivercess Counties.

The VEs in Bassa and Rivercess Counties are now well ahead of Bong, largely due to the lack of bikes for our Bong Counties VEs.

I want to also take this opportunity to appeal to the Board of M/E International to please consider purchasing a MOTO BIKE to enable us to do timely monitoring.

CDP-Liberia’s target is to harvest a total of 400,000 precious souls. Please pray with CDP-Liberia that the Lord of the harvest will help us reach and disciple these precious ones for Him.

Thanks for all your help and regular encouragements,

                            Evangelist J. Aaron Wright      -      CDP-Liberia

Dearly beloved, (CDP-Nigeria)  Evangelist Paul O. Mba

Thanks for your concern; we need more of your daily prayer. Our problem all this years, when the Lord want to give us open door, the enemy will come, but we cannot give up. I know one of these days the Lord will give us the total victory in Jesus name.

We really need your prayer and other support. Two of our VEs just returned with me from Kano. Because of the riots taking place it forced us to cut short our trip. We hope to go back as soon as the condition improves. I must tell you the Christians over here are very grateful to God and CDP for the blessing of the Ambassadors Units you sent!

Sir, please don't leave us alone. Thanks, your co worker in The Master's Vineyard

      Evangelist Paul O. Mba

Our strength is from HIM – JESUS is our all in all – He created it all – He maintains it all. Indeed – we are in good hands with HIM. Waiting on HIM is a sure thing – for HE will do it – we can’t.

Yet, HE will give us the desires of our heart:

The ignored and forgotten for an inheritance!

Pray daily at 6:00 PM for tools for the harvest!
