November 2009

Dear Outreacher:

We are still rejoicing as we bask in the memory of our recent OUTREACH DINNER held on Monday evening October 26, 2009. The dinner theme was: FINISH  WELL and STRONG

Pastor Prince Paul Konu, our Director for CDP-Ghana, noted that he expects the present total of about 1,500 VEs in Ghana to grow to over 6,000 by this time next year. Normally if equipment were available to all the VEs, this would be more than the number needed to FINISH WELL and STRONG.  But as of now they have less than 10% of the VEs with equipment.

The Report Dinner was special in many areas, but a highlight was Pastor Konu’s introduction of Pastor David Kolb (of Murrieta, California) who had spent three weeks in Ghana with Pastor Konu on a pastoral training mission. They had visited all three major ministry language groups.

Pastor Kolb reported that he was most impressed by the dedicated leadership and volunteer commitment of all the VEs. He particularly noted that Pastor Konu was highly respected by all the CDP leadership.  In the far northern area of Ghana, he noted that over a hundred VEs who were Muslim converts, were absolutely fearless in presenting Jesus, saying that God is SOVEREIGN and no one nor anything can harm them without passing though Him—Brother Kolb predicts that these VEs will be the seed group to see the Gospel spread upwards to reach that whole vast area of Africa surrounding the Sahara desert. Now that is something to watch, pray and praise for.

We heard from our Director for CDP-Nigeria, and he in turn has introduced us to Rev. FCM Ogbuji, one of his key pastors. Brother Ogbuji will be coming here on Friday November 13th 2009 from New York and returning on the 20th.  We look forward to obtaining some added information on the operation and progress of the CDP-Nigeria activities. It is note worthy  that Nigeria is the largest population center of any of the African Nations, having about 150-million total population, with about 100-million being out in the “boonies” where  they are generally otherwise ignored and forgotten. What a joy it is to realize that these that have such a small slice of worldly advantages, are being led to the fount of every blessing by our VEs—yes, and they usually flock to HIM!

To FINISH WELL and STRONG means two different things: To us: it is the opportunity and challenge to provide the needed equipment (Audio Player and Bicycles).  To those in the harvest fields: it is the continuing challenge to apply the On-the-Job Training process to meet their required growth of VEs—ultimately achieving the optimum balance between equipment and total VEs needed to reach all their ignored and forgotten ones before it is forever too late! Actually, only God knows the answer to the related questions, but for now, we and our national leadership are pressing each other to ever new levels of potential.  It is exciting to see the nationals take the initiative to “get the job done” with or without equipment!

As we see the Nations being reached--see the spirit of the CDP Global Network operation so dynamic, portending the potential of reaching most of the ignored and forgotten peoples of the world, we can only wonder just how long our Lord will delay His Return.  One thing we know, it will be in His time and by His power, and after all the Nations are reached. SEE:  Matthew 24:14

Won’t you help us with our part of this vast potential—remember, the Audio Players each cost $50.00, the Bicycles each cost $100.00.  Could right now place over 15,000 sets of equipment, with a projection by the end of 2010 for over 150,000.   Truly the harvest is ready–equip the harvesters.

In the meantime, stay in the Hollow of His Mighty Hands,

What We Believe

 1. We believe the Bible to be the inspired and only infallible Word of God.  2. We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  3. We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in his sinless life, in His miracles, in his vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory. 4. We believe that for the salvation of lost sinful man, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential.  5. We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit  by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a Godly life.  6. We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation. 7. We believe in the spiritual unity of  believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.  8. We believe that the church comprises all true believers and that the mission of the church, with Christ as its head, is to communicate the Gospel of Christ to all the world.
