Dear Outreacher:

·        We are rejoicing as we see new countries coming into the CDP GLOBAL NETWORK almost every week—each preparing to  reach out to hundreds of thousands and even millions of otherwise ignored and forgotten villagers that Jesus died for!

 ·        AND, it is most heartening to hear the praise reports coming from the Mission Fields with special thanks to our Father-God for the CDP process that is so dynamic and right for their outreach needs! The nationals are delighted to be EMPOWERED to “do it”, Yes, they appreciate “working as unto the Lord” and are dedicated thereto with a level of commitment that is truly wonderful to see.

 ·        BUT, too, we still have some here “at home” that don’t get it! It (the CDP process) is not missions like usual! It is truly “out of the Box” – a new and “revolutionary” process – where villagers are reaching out to villagers – where national leaders are leading, translating, assigning, teaching, encouraging.  INDEED, they are “doing it”!!!—and all are VOLUNTEERS.

 ·        ALSO, the simplicity of the CDP process, being God given, is truly powerful. This can possibly be best understood via a close look at the very essence of the CDP Process as expressed in a typical Village Evangelist—his character, life, commitment, telling others how he came to know Jesus and the CDP method of ministering-- a dynamic in multiplying himself in other candidate VEs.  Yes, each VE is a “story-teller”, presenting the precious Gospel of Truth and life, leading hungry villagers to the Savior. Certainly not a theologian, but a powerful witness of God’s saving grace as he tells others how he came to know Jesus!

·        TRULY powerful—for within each of thousands of VEs there is this explosive growth capability where each VE literally reproduces himself in three added VEs. This provides a net growth of four-to-one every six to 12 months growth period. All the while, the VEs are reaching out to hundreds/thousands; as in Ghana, each VE typically leads 20 to the Lord per week. By the way, this process was initiated and proven in our CDP-GHANA group by Pastor Prince Paul Konu from 2001 to present, now at about 1,600 VEs in three of the major languages, and, reported reaching out to and discipling hundreds of thousands of villagers.

·        THEREFORE, the cumulative power of this process is impressive—summing from village to village and outpost to outpost (20 VEs per language outpost) to country’s totals in a crescendo of  praise as those so long in darkness are being given the light in each country. So, when we total up all the countries in the CDP GLOBAL NETWORK we can rejoice as that total climbs into quantities that can only be dreamed about. At any rate, we want to present Jesus to all those previously ignored and forgotten villagers of the third world countries!

 ·        NOTE, that such prospects are solely predicated upon each VE being “typical” and that the growth process is maintained by all. Therefore, we all need to PRAY that the Holy Spirit will indeed quicken each VE and each national leader, providing each the necessary abilities to allow them to touch the very souls of those to whom they minister. It is all about and for the Lord Jesus Christ and must be done in His Power!

 ·        AMAZINGLY, the field reports coming in are generally as impressive as this whole process, realistic since the VEs are resident with the villagers and as such are regularly with them, witnessing and discipling—harvesting!

 ·        WHERE ARE WE in the overall process of finishing well?  In general, per plan, we should be within about two growth periods for most countries to complete their planned outreach. This would mean that they still must multiply their outreach by about 16 to one. This implies that those countries, that have been able to maintain the desired growth schedule, will be the most effective in reaching their lost ones! Of course, ultimately, it is the Spirit of God that reaches the heart of men – our/their job is to present the Gospel to them! This the VEs can do in His Power!—only God knows those that will come to Him!  By the way, behind the scene, the supervisors are a supportive “engine” in many ways, regularly teaching and preaching and baptizing as required!

 ·        SO, the nationals all seek to Finish Well, they desire to see that all hear, believe, and receive the Lord Jesus Christ, as well as continue to be discipled.

 ·        AT THE SAME TIME, we here at M/E Intl desire to Finish Well by helping to meet the myriad of ENABLING needs that come to us almost daily from the CDP GLOBAL NETWORK.

Dear Brothers Paul and Friday:

We are always concerned when we hear of killings and Christian harassment -- we pray that Our Lord Jesus Christ will always be both presented and glorified in and through even those drastic situations!

Trust that the situation in Jos State has left the work there stronger than ever!

Let us know how you are and how to best pray for you and the on-going safety of the VEs, etc.

Your powerful growth into all the states of Nigeria is most heartening -- we are blessed -- we live in great expectation for multitudes of precious souls coming to Jesus!

Be assured of our love and that indeed we care and continue to seek ways to be supportive.

Yours in His Mighty Hands,                    Jim Ford

In a message dated 3/20/2010 CDP-Nigeria writes:

Dearly beloved,
We thank you for your concern for the Souls of our people, may God bless you all in Jesus name. We have just had talk before this mail, Rev. Ogbuji could have written to you by himself, but due to the following; our agreement to delay till we get all our Coordinators and plans ready, and also we lack Internet facilities and Laptops, the one he had got bad and he could not see the Power pack here to buy. All our mailings and writings have all been through public business centers. Yes, the Jos crisis, even though the tension is somehow calming, yet Churches and lives has gone. We really need your prayers for now, Laptops and internet facilities to enable us have facilitate the job.
Thanks for your concern.

Yours in the Lord,    Paul O. Mba and Rev. F. C. M. Ogbuji,   for CDP- Nigeria

E-mail from cdp767usa to CDP-Nigeria:

Dear Brothers in the Battle for Nigeria's Ignored and Forgotten:

Thanks for your letter, and we PTL you are alright. We too grieve with you the loss of lives and churches, etc! – Yet, all to HIS Glory!!

You mention the need for Laptops: I gather that they are available there -- the prices are going down here very fast -- how much do they cost there?

Funds are a bit tight here right now, but we want to see your needs met as necessary for your activities to thrive for HIM!

We would encourage, for the general health and effectiveness of the CDP activities there in Nigeria, that you all get the CHURCH excited and behind the whole process. As much as we want to help, it seems that the Lord wants to essentially minimize our involvement--keep in mind that there are many other countries that have similar needs and we just have not received such funding here.  It is interesting though, how the EMPOWERMENT and related autonomous operation stimulates the local CHURCH in new dimensions of service and blessing.  God's way is always best.

In the meantime, can you get items like this imported without heavy tariff?

Get us your local costs, and we will see what the Lord will do from here. The on-going Nigerian CDP GLOBAL NETWORK will heavily depend upon how the CHURCH comes along side and supports your dedicated activities.

Stay blessed as He uses you all in that very large mission and needy field.

                                     Jim Ford

Note Concerning Reaching the Ignored and Forgotten Ones:

As we all desire to see as many of the ignored and forgotten villagers of the world reached for the Lord Jesus Christ – and as we see the national leaders and VEs amazingly dedicated to their tasks – our hearts ring with excitement as we sense that our Lord’s return may well be soon!  Things in and around Israel seem to be pointing to something important about to happen!

As we yearn for that great time, even so we press on to help finish HIS “Go Ye Command to the Nations”.

We want to be found faithful -- please partner with us for His Glory – in all things keep Praise on your lips even as He is in your heart of hearts! – help free Satan’s captives, bring joy to multitudes – it will be worth it all when we see JESUS!!!

REMEMBER CDP-Nigeria has a total population of about 160 Million – with approximately 100 Million in the ignored and forgotten classification.  One of the 59 states is well along towards a strong finish, and the other 58 are now in a very strong position with key leadership and determination to help all hear the Good News, that Jesus Saves--they are committed to establish effective growth of outreach needed to finish well and strong in the next few years.  PRAY for their leadership, supervisors and Village Evangelists (VEs) that they will all stand tall and strong for the Lord in these troublous times, yet a time of great harvest in Nigeria!

How many Audio Players and/or Bicycles will you send this year?  The Audio Players cost right at $50 and the Bicycles cost $100.  The audio players are primarily used in the training mission while the Bicycles provide up to 12 times the outreach of the VE by allowing him to cover the required distances and meet regularly with his villagers in his ten associated villages.

What We Believe

 1. We believe the Bible to be the inspired and only infallible Word of God.  2. We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  3. We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in his sinless life, in His miracles, in his vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory. 4. We believe that for the salvation of lost sinful man, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential.  5. We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a Godly life.  6. We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation. 7. We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.  8. We believe that the church comprises all true believers and that the mission of the church, with Christ as its head, is to communicate the Gospel of Christ to all the world.
