Chapter 13
King
David -- the Pros and Cons Harold
was fairly stunned by all that had transpired, ‑‑ he noted that
there were now two primary `camps' in the Knesset. He also noted that the
Prime Minister and Jacob Levi with about 20 other cabinet members were
vigorously exchanging ideas. Across
the room, a smaller but even more vocal and expressive group is frantically
gesturing as they obviously are considering various strategies, who would
speak for them, and just what their `platform' would be. "Wow",
Rachel squealed almost in Harold's ear, "this is real drama
‑‑ King David, the pros and cons!" "Yes",
Harold agreed, "we sure don't want to miss this afternoon session!
‑‑ let's get a quick sandwich!" Sadie
and Sam agreed, "Let's go ‑‑ but for sure let's get back
well ahead of time!" With
that this five‑set of the `group' quickly headed for the `deli' across
the street ‑‑ Harold noting: "those two groups will be
plotting and planning right up to the time the Prime Minister brings down
his gavel for order at 1:15". As
the `group' moved out of the Knesset the AKDC had already decided upon their
main strategy ‑‑‑ it includes using the
articulate and persuasive oratory of Dr. H.A. Issem ‑‑
their `world Jew' consultant. This is actually no real surprise, since the
appearance of King David has only accelerated their decisions related to
open confrontations related to their anti‑messiah positions.
The `Kingdom Party' headed by King David is now openly being
challenged by the AKDC with an unprecedented action by a coalition
party to place a non‑member of the Knesset into such a powerful
role. In effect their consultant Dr. H.A. Issem has been elevated to the
head of the AKDC. On
the other side of the hall, the Kingdom party, after almost an hours
discussions, had finally decided to exactly follow King David's lead
‑‑ also, the Prime Minister had suggested that Jacob Levi be
their spokesman for this rejoinder, he being best versed on
the expected adversary (their 'G2’ indicated Dr. H.A. Issem was to
present the AKDC's position) ‑‑ and
would be best able to counter any projected thrust by the AKDC's.
At the `deli' the `group' had enjoyed a very hasty and `nervous'
lunch ‑‑ their anticipation was really peaked. "You
know", Phoebe had quietly said, "this is really getting wild
‑‑ one group apparently fully accepting God's plan,
‑‑ the other, equally rejecting ‑‑ doing all in
their power to put it down, ‑‑ to do it their way". "Yes",
Harold replied, "it is ever God against Satan ‑‑ just
various forms". "It
should be an interesting afternoon", Sam said, "I've got the
feeling we are entering a fantastic new regime ‑‑ Israel is
coming into her own!". "Can
you really imagine", Rachel squealed, "King David and all Israel!
‑‑ WOW!! ‑‑ Fantastic!! ‑‑" The
word of conflict had spread wildly ‑‑ coupled with the
assassination attempt on King
David ‑‑ and the noise of the growing crowd permeated the `deli'
‑‑ the `group' was getting `antsy' about their getting seats
‑‑ they were all anxious to get started back.
