- Addendum to the Four CDP Cassettes
Scripture Portions --- the concept

Our Cassette Discipleship Programs (CDP) keyed around four cassette
messages, somewhere under five hours total in duration. The need for God’s
Word on cassettes will significantly augment the present outreach.
The Audible Scripture portions are important when
non-literacy is a prevalent problem. The people are not able to read the
scriptures even if provided – yet, can listen to recorded scripture – if
available in some handy form.
A Basic Scripture Set, of 17 audio cassettes, would make significant
portions of scripture available. In this way, the Village Evangelist can
readily play a particular scripture to help clarify and or edify the normal
cassette presentations and personal testimonies. These cassettes can of
course be a primary added educational tool for the Village Evangelist and
others as well! Each cassette should be no longer than about 30 minutes in
duration.
The concept in total, involves the Basic Set
(providing a general overview of God’s Word); an Intermediate Set (with
Doctrinal emphasis in perhaps an added 10 cassettes); and an Advanced Set
(with prophetic emphasis in perhaps another 10 cassettes). These can be
provided over a period of time in steps as opportunity to translate and
record permits – providing a natural growth capability. Each Village
Evangelist (VE) could have from 10 to 40 audio cassettes above and beyond
his four CDP program cassettes. Typically the VE’s supervisor will limit his
added cassettes to two or three on a request or need basis. Ultimately, it
is desired that each VE would have the full set as they become available.
With the concept established, and a sample provided, it is probable that
each group will set different goals and perhaps desire to place emphasis in
different scriptures – this is all OK, Providing yet another set of
cassettes which meet particular goals of outreach and training.
With the advent of CD players, all the ‘sets’ will go on a single CD with
selection of Tracks to locate particular scripture portions. The initial
Basic Set of Scripture Portions is provided below as a ‘prototype’ to get
the process in the mill, -- but changes and upgrades can be readily made.
We will provide a Basic Set of Scripture Portions on
our WEBSITE: me-intl.org -- readily available for download in total or
piecemeal as desired. This Basic Set will be in English as taken from the
New King James Version of the Bible.
Each country and language will need to extend their translation ministry to
accommodate this added requirement into their language(s) of need. Here, it
is desired to have a person with a strong and clear (good sibilance) voice –
an authoritative voice to do the master recordings. There will be about
eight hours of total time, or under 30 minutes (as an average) for each set
or module.
